    Description

    This is a Blue Ribbon Saddle in good used condition.
    This saddle is made in England by Blue Ribbon Saddlery and is their Avanti model. It is a close contact saddle with a forward flap and no knee blocks. This type of saddle is popular with
    a wide variety of riders because of it's versatility. Under the flap it is labeled a Spring Tree.
    It has a 16" seat (measuring from the center of the button to the cantle edge) and
    a 13.25" smooth flap (from the bottom of the bar). Measuring at the inside of the second button, it is 5.5" and measuring at the inside of the points is 9". It looks like a medium-narrow tree to me, ideal for a high withered horse
    .
    I've taken a front view picture but let me know if you need any other measurements.
    The tree is solid, the
    panels are plump and even,
    and the billets are in good shape.
    This saddle has seen some use and has signs of wear.The leather has been properly cared for and is well conditioned and supple. I do notice a few scratches, scuffs and light discolorations from use, the worst of which is an old scrape to the left of the twist (see close-up). I see that one or more of the 4 heavy stitches that connect the panel point to the underflap are loose on both sides (see close-up). There are also nail holes at the back where a nameplate has been removed. There are no other loose seams, cracked, worn or damaged areas.
    I tried to take pictures of all angles so you could really see what you're getting but please let me know if you need any other info.
    Why buy new? Now's the time to save a bundle and buy used!!!
