17" WIRRAL England English All Purpose Dressage GPD Saddle Long Billets (ES79)

This is an English Saddle in good used condition.

his saddle is made in England by Wirral Riding & Saddlery Centre. It is a GDP model, or a general purpose with dressage tendencies. It has a
straighter cut panel and longer flaps than a typical GP to accommodate the longer leg position required by dressage and flatwork. The cantle is higher with a small knee block to encourage a proper seat without locking you in place. This style of saddle
is popular with a wide variety of riders because of it's versatility.
It has a 17" seat (measuring from the center of the button to the cantle edge) and
a 14" flap (from the bottom of the bar). It looks like a medium-wide tree to me.
I've taken front view pictures with a tape in place, but let me know if you need any other measurements.
The tree is solid and the
panels are plump and even. It has long
billets, measuring 26" in length and are showing wear but solid. One of the billets on the right has a couple stitches loose at the top so I would definitely have a saddler look at it before you use it.
This saddle has seen some use and has signs of wear.The leather has been properly cared for and is well conditioned and supple. I do notice light scuffs and discolorations from use. There is scarring on the back of the billets and a scraped edge on the cantle. There are no loose seams, cracked or damaged areas.
I tried to take pictures of all angles so you could really see what you're getting but please let me know if you need any other info.
Why buy new? Now's the time to save a bundle and buy used!!!
