Garage kept, never smoked in, all original Southwest (OK/TX) car.
Black exterior, black premium interior, black soft top, black removable hard top.
This is a fun car to drive that gets a thumbs-ups everywhere it goes.
First owner, a collector (deceased), purchased this bird new in December 2003 from Reynolds Ford in OKC. Second owner purchased it in late 2017 with only 7,400 mi. and used it for weekend road trips. Third and current owner, a long-time retrobird owner, purchased it in 2019 with 23,420 miles on the clock and moved the car to Texas, where it is driven in fair weather only.
Interior shows this bird has been cared for and garaged, with minimal signs of wear. Leather is soft and supple. Carpet is in great shape. Windows have never been tinted. Both soft top headliner and hardtop headliner are perfect. The aluminum dash trim is also in great shape--a true rarity for these 'birds.
Exterior paint has a beautiful shine consistent with low mileage and being garage-kept. Original windshield is free of defects--see the Thunderbird emblem in the glass, which is only found on factory panes. Original headlights are crystal clear. Chrome trim around windshield shows no signs of peeling--another rarity. Badges are perfect. Original VIN tamperproof stickers fully intact all the way around the body, with no prior accidents or paintwork. Recent wax and ceramic coating really have it shining! Original cloth top is excellent, with no tears or visible wear.
Mechanically,
car runs and drives great
, and is fully up to date with maintenance including oil change, air filter, cabin filter, coolant flush, COPs, wiper blades. It has a current Texas state inspection including emissions testing, with no codes present. Air blows ice cold in 100-degree Texas weather, and all electronics / accessories work as intended, including power soft top. New battery in 2021.
New Michelin tires
in 2020 replaced the originals (due to age not wear).
This car does get driven so there are a few cosmetic imperfections to note: minor rock chips up front, a small ding on driver's door, and a few paint surface defects near the rear (see photos showing small area on passenger rear fender near taillight). If you're looking for a 10/10 show car, these items are easily addressed. We prefer to keep it all original, have priced accordingly, and leave that choice to you.
Also included are two sets of keys, original window sticker, hard top cover, and owners manual / paperwork as pictured.
Overall, this is a nice, low mileage T-bird. However, being a 17-year-old car, there is no warranty and it is sold "As Is".
