. This Teddy Bear is an antique reproduction bear and at only 9” is my smallest Teddy. He is meant to resemble a much-loved bear of the past. You can antique him as much as you want or just leave him as he is when completed. I have just added extra hardware and instructions to make the bear with a double jointed, head.This is a complete distressed mohair kit for the fully jointed 9” Teddy Bear. The kit includes top quality golden distressed mohair with the pattern drawn on the back. Just cut it out and you are ready to sew. Also included are the paw pad wool felt, jointing sets, eyes, embroidery thread and the a quilted square for his wings and the complete pattern. The quilted square will not be the exact print as in the photo.The pattern is full size and gives comprehensive instructions for making the bear, sculpturing the head and fully jointing the bear. Seam allowances are included in the pattern. Instructions include traditional jointing or double jointing for a really primitive look. I think that you will love the easy method that I have developed for sewing your center head gusset. You will need a small bag of Polyfil and needle nose pliers to turn the cotter pin joints. Gussie him up with old keys, hearts or any other treasure that you may have. The box is not included. Above all else, have fun making this guy. He will make a wonderful gift, as well.
