Description

Gottfried Krueger founded a brewery in Newark NJ with his uncle John Laible in 1858. It produced Krueger beer brand. It was named G. Krueger Brewing Company from 1875 to Prohibition ( date of listed bottle). They then made near beer and soda until Prohibition ended whereupon the company then purchased several other breweries and became The United States Brewing co. They were the first company to produce beer in cans because of an arrangement with an aluminum company. But Gottfied never got to see this since he died in 1926. Item in very good condition with some dirt on inside bottom. Likely 13 oz size.
