This gorgeous Edwardian Era purse is an heirloom piece made from solid 18kt yellow gold. It is in pristine condition and features an ornate scalloped hand-engraved design on the frame. The mesh on this purse has a silky smooth luscious texture and it is in excellent condition. Please refer to images.
The frame clasp closes securely and is accentuated by a bezel set rich deep blue sapphire cabochon.
The purse is 6 inches long and the bottom spreads to 4 inches wide, the strap is 12" long and 3/8" wide. There is a strap badge ornately engraved with a design on one side and "Nina" on the other. The purse is elegantly finished for added movement with a fox tail chain tassel.
The purse has the 18kt quality mark on the interior of the frame and there is an additional marking that may be a signature, however, do not recognize it.
Most antique gold purses that come on the market are made of 14kt (58.5% purity), this one is 18kt (75% purity) for a more discerning client.
This exquisite purse weighs 104.7 grams.
