Antique Platinum and 18K Gold 27.2 Grams Mesh Coin Purse, Sapphire Pendant

Description

A beautifully constructed antique mesh coin purse in platinum and 18K gold with a natural sapphire border. The interlocking links in the mesh look like chainmail and feel very smooth in your hands. They are patterned like rays of “gold” and “platinum.”
Along the edge of the purse is a row of step cut natural sapphires with a lovely velvety blue color. There are a total of approximately 2.7 carats in these sapphires. In the back is a bail so that the piece can be worn as a pendant or clipped to your purse!
Metal: 18K Yellow Gold & Platinum (acid tested)
Weight: 27.2 grams
Sapphires: Approx 2.7 carats
Measurements: 2 inches long (including the clasp) by 1.8 inches wide
Markings: Indecipherable stamp inside the clasp area, most likely continental European hallmarks
Condition: In good antique condition with some surface wear consistent with age and a few missing links in the mesh. There were some repairs done around the sapphires, including some replacements.
