Item for Sale:
The Astron RS-70M is a solid state +13.8VDC / 70 Amp power supply with power cord. The RS-70M has (2) backlit meters that display voltage and current.
Background:
I am selling this item for a widow of a silent key and friend who recently passed away in June of 2021. He was an Electrical Engineer for a company that manufactured Broadcast Television VHF & UHF Transmitters where I worked with him for many years.
This item is located in his den along with the rest of his impressive station. He took very good care of his equipment and he used it up until the time that he passed away. This power supply powered his Yaesu FT-950 HF transceiver (also being sold on eBay). There is a decal on the front of the supply but it can be easily removed. I haven't had the opportunity to test each item, so it is being sold "
AS-IS
". I performed a quick inventory of each item and I took at least (1) photograph of each item. If I had the finances and space, I would have purchased many of the items in his collection.
Due to the weight of this item (48 lbs), to prevent possible damage during shipping, we are selling it for
