Never used, only in a store under a saddle. It did pick up slight oil from saddle on display. Excellent high end saddle pad, with an high end tight cotton weave, unlike less expensive saddle pads. No longer marketed. Sold without odors and only flaw is the slight discoloration( will clean with washing and you will stain even more using on day 1).  If you are looking for the high end quality saddle pad, this is your opportunity to find one of the few remaining available.
