Positive to terminal connection, unit is ground/neutral.
Standard (easy) set up is 3/8 ring terminal to butt splice in line fuse to male packard plug to fit female packard lamp.
Or for this item without lamp plug, direct wire in.
Made for multiple military vehicles.
Not specifically for HMMWV, but many people choose to install as they are an easy fit.
For HMMWV install (not included) available at Home Depot/Lowes:
-2 x Rubber cushion P-Clamps 3/4 ID (found 1" to large to hold).
-2 x 1" bolt/screw/washer sets to fit clamp hole diameter (manufacturer sizes vary #10 to 1/4").

FYI..
-2 halves need to be screwed together to function/light up as unit serves as ground/neutral.
-May require a metal to metal contact to ground out (jumper, etc). Originally one corner was unpainted for contact.
