Shipped with USPS wrapped in polyethylene and bubble wrap.
Uranium exhibits primarily alpha and beta decay, and also rare gamma decay through isometric transition. This specimen glows bright green in the presence of UV light due to the presence of phosphorus.
Each vial contains 1 gram of uranium mica ore. The size of the vial is 40mm tall by 15mm in diameter. The vial is sealed closed using epoxy for safety purposes. Attempting to open the vial is not recommended. When the sealed specimen is placed within 1/4 inch of a beta/gamma sensitive Geiger Muller tube, a count of 1000CPM can be expected. .
Keep this away from children at all times and store it at least 3 feet away from anywhere anyone spends a lot of time.
