This item was used in the historic Paramount Theatre in Anderson, Indiana and was working when retired from service, but due to the age of the equipment, all sales are final.
All proceeds from this sale benefit The Paramount Heritage Foundation, Inc., a registered non-profit 501(c)(3) organization devoted to preserving this unique venue.
The historic Paramount theater was built in 1929 and is one of only three remaining "atmospheric" theatres in the U.S. Designed by famed architect, John Eberson, the theatre features a blue-sky ceiling with twinkling stars and puffy clouds. Entering the theatre gives one the feeling of walking through a "Spanish Courtyard at Night." The 1,458-seat theatre still houses a vintage PAGE Pipe Organ and is home to the 2nd largest movie screen in Indiana. It has hosted renowned entertainers including Frank Sinatra, Nat “King” Cole, Roberta Peters, Johnny Cash, Louis Armstrong, Blake Shelton, and many more well-known artists over the last 90+ years.
