Description
This listing is for one (1) Jomar JHH-01 NELA Verification Instrument. This was the very first version and is the only example that we know of in private hands. The JHH-01 is a Gamma / Neutron Detector, developed at Los Alamos National Labs. It was used to verify that Nuclear Explosive Like Assemblies contained no Uranium or Plutonium and were not Nuclear Weapons. For example, before a plane was allowed to take off with a dummy nuke (or anything that even looked like a nuke) somebody had to go over it with one of these to make sure that the NELA really was non-nuclear.
The detector is used is a Bicron 1M2/l LED-X Socket Base Scintillation Detector.
Surplus from a government lab. Untested and sold as-is, officially "for parts or not working" with no guarantee of functionality or completeness whatsoever. The hinges are broken.
This is the only one on the market - don't let it get away!
