Lancaster Glass Co Marigold Carnival ORIZABA Pattern Half Gallon Pitcher Antique

Description

Measuring 8" to top of handle. This water pitcher was made by Lancaster Glass Co, Ohio between 1908 & 1937.
This is similar to Imperials Hobstar Band, as is sometimes confused. This is Orizaba by Lancaster. The pattern goes all the way to the base, as Imperials stops at the collar of the rim. This pitcher has some roughness and small chipping along the foot. There are various lines in the glass but they are not cracks. There is also a divot in the tip of the spout that is not a chip. It is also a manufacturing defect. Color is not overly flashy, and more of a muted marigold versus some of the newer carnival glass.
Very heavy, thick glass. (Note: The Doty website page on this pattern has information posted that can clarify some of the differences between the manufacturers).
