    The Mint on Lasqueti Island in British Columbia, is a private mint that produces high quality pure gold silver and copper coins. The 1997 Esoterics coin that you are bidding on contains 1/2 oz of .999 silver. It is a Proof coin, with mirror surfaces and strong frosted images, and was the first coin issued by the Lasqueti Mint. Only 222 of these PROOF coins were minted. It shows the Esoterics design on one side and the iconic China Cloud boat on the other. Originally issued at , the price has risen strongly ever since due to the scarcity and artistic quality. Rarely will you find such quality of workmanship, combined with a creative design, produced by a small private mint. It is truly a work of art. These coins were part of a very small production run, and most are already sold.
