Message from the Passier Saddle Company when I wrote to them about the origin of the saddle:
“Hello, the saddle with the No. 110 387 is a Passier PSP All Purpose saddle in the size 17", colour: havanna, that was made in 05/1959. At the time the saddle left our production, it had a tree width of 28 cm. (11 inches). Please notice, that the width of the gullet plate can be adjusted to different horses. So that might have happened a number of times in the last years.

This is a really cool old saddle.
I bought it a few years ago in very bad shape on Ebay and had it restored by a professional saddle/leather restorer.
I spent 0 getting it restored and then it did not end up fitting my daughter’s horse the way she would like. (He is chunky).
The tree width is 28 cm which translates to “narrow.”
One thing I like about the Passier saddles is the cut back pommel to make room for the withers.  This is a game changer for a high withered horse.  They also tend to fit a wide variety of horses’ anatomy, but keep in mind this one is considered “narrow”.
This saddle is old.  It has cosmetic issues but it is solid and safe.  The tree is intact, it has new billets, and it has been re-stuffed with new wool and oiled like crazy.  The stirrup bars are both intact and strong. The suede knee pads have been replaced.
The underside is not perfect and has some wrinkles. Please see pictures. The low price represents the saddle's condition.
The saddle weighs14.5 pounds, 17 pounds with the stirrups and leathers, which I will include if you want them. (White Saddle pad or horse model not included).
