Robert Hansen Carnival Glass Tree Toothpick Holder, Teal
Very pretty carnival glass toothpick holder with scalloped rim. Inverted thumbprint design with zippers or "trees" separating the six panels. The Hansen brothers used glass blanks from various companies to produce their beautiful carnival glass. The original design for this piece was introduced in 1916 by Paden City Glass, and is known as Tree by EAPG collectors. Light teal blue base glass with beautiful, bright multicolor iridescence. The Hansens began producing carnival glass in the 1960s. Very hard to find piece.
Condition:  Two tiny rough spots on rim and some roughness at the base of one "tree". No other chips, cracks or repairs. Iridescence is in excellent condition, with no noticeable wear.
Marks:  Unmarked.
Dimensions:  2 1/4" high, 2" wide.
