    Description

    This auction is for a wonderful vintage midcentury modern rare Russel Wright Iroquois Casual China original covered butter dish in the Charcoal color (dark grey gloss coloring) as shown in the pictures taken with and without flash. The butter dish and covered lid is in very fine condition, with no chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. You can see the kiln markings on the bottom and underside of the lid but as far as the Iroquois marking goes it is very hard to see if there is one there. I don’t think there is a marking due to the dark color. The butter dish measures 7 and three-quarter inches long by 4 inches wide. The butter dish cover measures just over 7 1/2 inches long by almost 4 1/4 inches wide. The height of the lid measures almost 2 1/4 inches. The shape and design of the butter dish and lid is just wonderful and reminds me of a whale or at least an abstract whale or one of those funky telephones from the 1970s. When the lid sits on the dish it is just shy of 3 inches tall. This would make a wonderful addition to anyone’s fine Russel Wright Casual China collection. Please review all pictures carefully as they constitute part of the description. Pictures were taken with and without flash to show of the color mainly which is mostly a dark gray gloss coloring.
    Due to the amount of increasing claims going unpaid- I will now be forwarding the upaid item cases to Ebay within 2 days after auction end and yes it is allowed!!  For those of you who pay on time don’t take this personally.
