Stunning 17" Stubben English Saddle!!

Description

Beautiful 17" Forward seat saddle made by Stubben in Switzerland! Marked "Siegfried, Made in Switzerland" under the skirt.  31 cm tree (marked 31 where Stubben's put the tree width) Billets are in very good shape with no cracks or issues. Leather throughout is supple. Dark chocolate brown color. Some scratches and rubs from normal wear. Leather has a lovely shine and super supple! No crazing or cracks! Only exception to the leather being in excellent condition is the underside mainly on one side towards the back - this is shown in pics. It was like this when I got it and I'm not sure if it was stored on a rough stand and the damage was done  when it was drug over it or how it happened. This does not impact it's functionality nor can it be seen when tacked up but this will keep this high end saddle affordable.  All stitching is intact. Brass hardware throughout the saddle so no corrosion on any of it.  Flocking in panels underneath in very good shape. Suede knee area  also in good shape with suede having tackiness to it still and padding in knee area has lots of life left. Includes Partrade Metalab peacock irons with brand new bands, English contour fleece pad in pics and Crump stirrup leathers. The leathers have been being used but I would recommend getting them re-stitched but the leather is in good shape and they  are quality leathers. I've shown the stitching in pics. If you would prefer regular irons instead of peacock ones, I can also sub out.

Stübben's spring tree, entirely handmade in a step-by-step process, uses webbing tension to establish seat depth for any particular model of saddle. It works counter actively with the wood of the tree to provide "spring" or "elasticity." The seat is covered with a composite material, not foam that could break down over time. The material provides long-lasting rider comfort and fosters communication between rider and horse.
Panels of Stübben saddles are flocked with wool, chosen because wool absorbs and wicks sweat away from the horse's back. It also conforms to the horse's back and can be professionally altered to suit a horse's particular shape. Wool also allows for the accurate transmission of the rider's seat aids to the horse's back.
Stübben offers models of saddles for all English riding disciplines. The names of its saddles contain keys to the saddle's intended design purpose: S for jumping; VSS for all-purpose with an emphasis toward jumping, cross country or riding in shorter leathers; VSD for all-purpose with an emphasis toward dressage, pleasure riding, endurance or riding in longer leathers; and D for dressage.
